about

Salim Nourallah calls his new album “the work of a functional crazy person.” The beloved musician-producer has spent more than 15 years as a fixture on the North Texas music scene, but Somewhere South of Sane is his boldest work yet: a vinyl double album that captures the implosion of his marriage, along with the madness of life among the record stacks. In 21 songs, and seven bonus tracks, Nourallah takes us from the gorgeous trance-inducing psychedelia of the opener “Boy in a Record Shop” to the catharsis of the album’s blistering final act.
